Description

This warm and hearty dish combines creamy cheese, ranch seasoning, and perfectly roasted potatoes with savory sausage, creating an irresistible, soul-satisfying meal. It’s quick, flavorful, and great for feeding a crowd or indulging in a cozy dinner. Ready to enjoy this cheesy delight?

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large Russet potatoes, cubed
  • 500g sausage (pork, chicken, or turkey), sliced
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning (or homemade blend)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Potatoes: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Peel and cube the potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Boil them for 5-7 minutes until slightly tender, then drain and set aside.
  • Cook the Sausage: In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned and slightly crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Season the Potatoes: Toss the boiled potatoes with the ranch seasoning, ensuring they are evenly coated. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Combine the Ingredients: In a baking dish, layer the seasoned potatoes and cooked sausage. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
  • Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Customizable Sausage Choice: You can use any type of sausage (pork, chicken, or turkey), depending on your preference. Opt for spicy sausage if you like a kick or choose mild flavors for a more kid-friendly option.
  • Achieve Crispy Potatoes: For extra crispy potatoes, roast them for 10-15 minutes before combining with the sausage and cheese. This step ensures a perfect balance of soft and crispy textures.
  • Make It Ahead: You can prepare the entire dish in advance and refrigerate. When ready, bake it fresh for a quick and hassle-free meal.
