Ingredients
3 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1 small sweet onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 cup unsalted beef stock
1 ounce packet au jus gravy mix
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, thinly sliced
Instructions
1. Season steak pieces with salt and pepper.
2. Heat oil in a skillet and brown steak pieces in batches.
3. Add steak, onion, and garlic to the slow cooker.
4. Pour in beef stock and sprinkle au jus mix.
5. Lay butter slices on top.
6. Cook on high 3-4 hours or low 6-8 hours.
7. Stir occasionally and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
