Description
Imagine biting into a warm, flaky pastry filled with rich cream cheese and a touch of tropical sweetness. Sounds dreamy, right? That’s exactly what Hawaiian Cheesecake Danish delivers! This easy-to-make treat combines the pillowy softness of Hawaiian sweet rolls with a creamy, slightly tangy filling, all topped with a hint of cinnamon-sugar magic.
Ingredients
- 1 pack Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
Instructions
Preheat & Prepare Rolls – Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half, leaving them connected like a book.
2️⃣ Make the Filling – In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and egg yolk until smooth.
3️⃣ Assemble the Danish – Spoon the filling into the center of each roll and gently press down.
4️⃣ Add Topping – In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle over the top.
5️⃣ Bake – Brush the rolls with melted butter and bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.
6️⃣ Cool & Serve – Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with coffee or tea!
Notes
1️⃣ Don’t Overfill the Rolls – Too much filling can spill over and burn. Use just enough to keep the center creamy without overflowing.
2️⃣ Use Fresh Ingredients – Soft, fresh Hawaiian rolls and high-quality cream cheese make a big difference in texture and flavor. Avoid stale rolls for the best results.
3️⃣ Watch the Baking Time – Overbaking can dry out the rolls. Bake just until golden brown (around 15-18 minutes), and check a few minutes early to prevent burning.
