Description

Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls are a delicious dessert fusion that wraps the warm, spiced goodness of traditional Southern peach cobbler inside a crispy Asian egg roll shell. Bursting with juicy peaches and cinnamon flavor, these golden rolls are easy to make, trendy on social media, and perfect for parties or after-dinner treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups chopped peaches (fresh, canned, or frozen)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons butter (or vegan butter)

  • ⅓ cup light brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 10 egg roll wrappers

  • Vegetable oil, for frying

  • Water, for sealing wrappers

Instructions

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, cook the chopped peaches with lemon juice, butter, and brown sugar until softened (about 5–7 minutes).

  • Stir in cornstarch and cinnamon to thicken the mixture. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let the filling cool completely.

  • Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of peach filling into the center.

  • Brush the edges with water. Fold the sides over the filling, then roll up tightly, sealing the edges.

  • Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry egg rolls 2–3 at a time until golden brown, about 5–6 minutes.

  • Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or served with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

Use gluten-free wrappers and vegan butter for dietary adaptations.

Air fryer alternative: spray egg rolls lightly with oil and cook at 375°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.

Other fruits like apples, blueberries, or mixed berries can be substituted.

Best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven to retain crispiness.
