-
½ tsp ground cumin

1 cup (140 g) frozen corn
-
Salt and black pepper to taste
For Garnish:
-
¼ cup (4 g) chopped cilantro
-
⅓ cup (33 g) shredded cheddar cheese
-
2 avocados, sliced
Instructions
-
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
-
Add ground turkey. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and no longer pink.
-
Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, sweet potato, chili powder, paprika, cumin, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer for 15 minutes.
-
Add frozen corn and bring to a low boil for a few more minutes. Adjust seasoning as needed.
-
Serve hot, topped with cilantro, cheese, and avocado.
Notes
Dice sweet potatoes evenly for consistent cooking.
Sugar helps balance the acidity from tomatoes.
Add cayenne or hot sauce for extra heat.
