- 8 oz dry egg noodles
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1/4 yellow onion, sliced
- 3 cups cabbage, thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, diced
- 1 bunch green onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
Instructions
- Boil egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente then drain and rinse with cold water
- Slice carrots onion and cabbage then dice garlic
- Whisk dark soy sauce soy sauce brown sugar water sesame oil corn starch white pepper and oyster sauce in a bowl until smooth
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium high heat
- Stir fry carrots onions cabbage and garlic for about 3 to 4 minutes
- Add cooked noodles and chopped green onions then toss together
- Pour the prepared sauce over the noodles and vegetables
- Stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles evenly
- Remove from heat and serve hot
Notes
- Add chicken shrimp beef or tofu for additional protein
- Adjust soy sauce and sugar levels to match your taste preference
- Add chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy version
- Fresh lo mein noodles can replace dry egg noodles
