Description

Apple Cinnamon Chips are thinly sliced apples baked low and slow with cinnamon for a simple, lightly sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 McIntosh apples, cored and sliced 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar (optional)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place the sliced apples in a large bowl.
  3. Toss the apples with cinnamon and optional sugar until evenly coated.
  4. Lightly spray a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  5. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer without overlapping.
  6. Bake for 2 to 3 hours, turning once, until dry but still slightly soft.
  7. Allow the chips to cool completely before storing.

Notes

  1. Slice thickness affects texture, with thicker slices staying softer.
  2. Chips will firm up slightly as they cool.
