Description

Creamy peach pie with tender peaches, cinnamon sugar, and a soft buttery crust that makes every slice rich and comforting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 package (3 ounce) cook-and-serve vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 can (29 ounce) sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons reserved peach syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 10-inch deep-dish pie plate.
  2. Whisk flour, pudding mix, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
  3. Add milk, butter, and egg, then beat for 2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Spread crust mixture into prepared pie plate.
  5. Drain peaches and reserve 3 tablespoons syrup.
  6. Mix 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Beat cream cheese until fluffy, then add ½ cup sugar and reserved syrup.
  8. Beat cream cheese mixture for 2 minutes until smooth.
  9. Arrange peaches over crust mixture evenly.
  10. Spoon cream cheese mixture over peaches while leaving a 1-inch edge.
  11. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top.
  12. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
  13. Cool completely and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  1. Use cook-and-serve pudding mix instead of instant pudding.
  2. Chill the pie before slicing for cleaner servings.
  3. Fresh peaches may replace canned peaches if desired.
  4. Cover crust edges with foil if browning too quickly.
