Easy to make and even easier to eat, they’re bound to be a hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1 cup cubed cheddar cheese
  • 1 can biscuit or crescent dough (or pizza dough)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp onion powder, for extra flavor

Instructions

  • Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Drain excess grease, then set aside.
  • Pre-Cook Bacon: In a separate pan, cook bacon until it starts to release fat but is still pliable. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
  • Assemble the Bombs:
    • Flatten a piece of dough in your hand.
    • Add a spoonful of cooked ground beef and a cheese cube to the center.
    • Wrap dough around the filling, sealing it completely.
    • Wrap a strip of bacon around each dough ball.
  • Cook:
    • Baking: Place bombs on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
    • Frying: Heat oil in a pan and fry bombs until crispy and golden.
  • Serve Warm: Let cool slightly, then enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces!

Notes

  • Seal the Dough Well: Be sure to pinch the dough tightly around the filling to prevent cheese from leaking out during cooking. A well-sealed bomb keeps the filling gooey and contained!
  • Cook the Bacon Just Right: Partially cook the bacon before wrapping, so it crisps up perfectly during baking or frying. If it’s too raw, it may stay chewy, and if too crispy, it may break while wrapping.
  • Serve with Dips: Bacon Cheeseburger Bombs are best enjoyed with a variety of dips. Ketchup, mustard, barbecue sauce, or a spicy aioli make great additions, enhancing the flavors and making them extra fun to eat!
