- 450g (1 lb) ground chicken
- 120g (½ cup) ricotta cheese
- 60g (½ cup) breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 30g (¼ cup) grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix ingredients in a large bowl—combine chicken, ricotta, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add Parmesan, lemon zest, or red pepper flakes if desired. Mix gently to avoid tough meatballs.
- Form meatballs about 2.5-3 cm (1-1.5 inches) in diameter and place them evenly spaced on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
- Serve hot with marinara sauce, pasta, or in a sandwich. Enjoy!
