Description

Banana Split Jello Shots blend the nostalgic flavors of banana splits with the fun of jello shots, creating a playful dessert perfect for any gathering. Easy to make and irresistibly delicious, they’re a creative way to enjoy a classic treat in a new form.

Ingredients

  • Whole milk: 1 cup (240 ml)
  • Banana pudding cream: 1 cup (240 ml)
  • Instant banana cream flavored pudding mix: 1 package (3.4 oz or 96 g)
  • Whipped topping: 1 cup (240 ml), for garnish
  • Chocolate sauce: 1/4 cup (60 ml), for drizzling
  • Rainbow sprinkles: 1 tablespoon, for garnish
  • Banana slices: 1 banana, sliced for topping
  • Maraschino cherries: 12 cherries, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of whole milk, 1 cup of banana pudding cream, and the package of instant banana cream flavored pudding mix.
  2. Whisk the mixture until smooth and well combined.
  3. Carefully pour the mixture into individual shot cups, filling them about three-quarters full.
  4. Place the cups in the refrigerator and chill until set, about 2 hours.
  5. Once set, garnish each shot with a dollop of whipped topping, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, a sprinkle of rainbow sprinkles, a banana slice, and a maraschino cherry on top.

Notes

  1. Ingredient Flexibility: If banana pudding cream is not available, banana liqueur or banana-flavored syrup can be used as substitutes. This flexibility allows you to adjust the recipe based on what you have on hand or prefer taste-wise.
  2. Serving and Storage: These jello shots can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, making them perfect for planning ahead for parties. However, it’s best to add the whipped topping, banana slices, and cherries just before serving to ensure they look and taste fresh.
  3. Customization Options: Feel free to customize the toppings to suit your preferences or to match a specific theme. While banana slices and maraschino cherries are classic, experimenting with different syrups, sprinkles, or even crushed nuts can add a unique twist to each serving.
