Description

Bang Bang Salmon is a sweet and spicy salmon dish featuring tender, flaky fillets topped with a creamy bang bang sauce made from mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. It is quick to prepare, protein-rich, and ideal for healthy lunches or easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sriracha

  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice

  • Chopped green onions (optional)

  • Sesame seeds (optional)

  • Fresh lime wedges (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F, or heat a skillet or grill to medium heat.

  2. Pat salmon fillets dry and brush with olive oil.

  3. Season salmon evenly with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  4. Cook salmon by baking for 12–15 minutes, pan-searing for 4–5 minutes per side, or grilling until flaky and cooked through.

  5. Whisk mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.

  6. Drizzle bang bang sauce over the cooked salmon.

  7. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and lime wedges if desired.

  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust the amount of sriracha to control the spice level.

Use a meat thermometer and cook salmon to an internal temperature of 145°F.

Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 days.

Reheat gently to prevent drying out the salmon.
