Description

A smoky, tangy, and savory delight combining barbecue sauce, crispy bacon, and melty cheese on a perfectly baked crust. This crowd-pleaser redefines comfort food in every slice!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pizza dough or homemade dough
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (choose your preferred flavor)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion
  • Optional: 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños or pineapple chunks
  • Olive oil (for brushing crust)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and prepare a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Roll out the pizza dough to your desired size and thickness. Place it on your baking surface.
  • Lightly brush the edges of the dough with olive oil for a golden crust.
  • Spread the barbecue sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses evenly over the sauce.
  • Scatter the cooked bacon and red onions across the pizza. Add optional toppings like jalapeños or pineapple for extra flair.
  • Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and slice into pieces. Enjoy your homemade masterpiece!

Notes

  • Pre-cook the Bacon: Ensure the bacon is cooked until crisp before adding it to the pizza. This prevents the pizza from becoming greasy and ensures the bacon is evenly cooked.
  • Balance the Sauce: Be mindful of the amount of barbecue sauce you use. Too much can make the pizza soggy and overpower the other flavors.
  • Use High Heat: Baking the pizza at a high temperature (around 475°F/245°C) ensures a crispy crust and perfectly melted cheese. Keep a close eye on it to avoid overcooking.
