- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
Instructions
- Combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in flour until a smooth dough forms.
- Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 375°F.
- Pipe strips of dough directly into the hot oil and cut to desired length.
- Fry churros for about 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
- Remove churros with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels.
- Roll warm churros in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
- Melt chocolate chips with heavy cream in the microwave for 30–60 seconds and stir until smooth.
- Serve churros warm with chocolate dipping sauce.
