Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon salt
- 5 tablespoons cold butter
- 1 cup whole milk
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for coating
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil to 360°F in a deep saucepan
- Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt together
- Pulse dry ingredients with butter until crumbly
- Stir in milk until dough forms
- Fold dough on a floured surface until just smooth
- Pinch off small pieces and fry until golden, flipping once
- Drain briefly and coat with powdered sugar
