Description

Bursting with sweet blueberries and the tangy richness of cream cheese, these cookies are a heavenly combination of cheesecake and cookie perfection. A dessert that’s portable, easy to make, and irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups (315g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup (150g) fresh or frozen blueberries

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until creamy. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar, mixing until smooth.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Gently fold in the blueberries. If using frozen berries, do not thaw them beforehand to avoid excess juice.
  • Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden, and the centers are set.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

  • Chill the Dough for Better Texture: If your cookies spread too much while baking, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before portioning. This helps the butter and cream cheese firm up, ensuring thicker, chewier cookies.
  • Use Fresh or Frozen Blueberries Carefully: Frozen blueberries can release more juice during mixing and baking, which might slightly color the dough. To minimize this, add them frozen and fold gently to avoid breaking the berries.
  • Measure Ingredients Accurately: For perfect consistency, use a kitchen scale to weigh ingredients, especially flour. Too much flour can result in dense cookies, while too little can make them overly soft and spread too much.
