Description

A crispy grilled sandwich filled with melted cheese and sweet blueberry compote.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Cook blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and thyme until thick.
  2. Let the mixture cool completely.
  3. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  4. Place bread in pan, add cheese and blueberry mixture.
  5. Top with more cheese and second bread slice.
  6. Cook on medium-low heat until golden, then flip.
  7. Cook until cheese melts fully and bread is crisp.
  8. Slice and serve warm.

  1. Cook blueberry mixture until thick to avoid soggy bread.
  2. Use medium-low heat for even cooking.
  3. Shred cheese fresh for better melting.
