Description
A festive summer caprese salad made with blueberries, cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.
Ingredients

- 1 pint blueberries
- 2 pints cherry tomatoes, halved
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 8 ounces firm buffalo mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Wash blueberries and cherry tomatoes thoroughly and drain well.
- Slice cherry tomatoes in half and place them into a serving bowl with blueberries.
- Slice firm buffalo mozzarella into 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch slices.
- Use a small star cookie cutter to cut mozzarella stars.
- Place mozzarella stars over the tomatoes and blueberries.
- Tear fresh basil over the salad.
- Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar evenly over the top.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use firm buffalo mozzarella for easier star cutting.
- Dry the fruit completely before assembling the salad.
- Add basil just before serving for the freshest appearance.
