Description

A simple Breakfast Cheese Danish made with crescent roll dough and a smooth cream cheese filling, finished with a sweet vanilla glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough sheets
  • 2 packages 8-ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon milk or water
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese at room temperature.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 13×9-inch baking dish.
  3. Press one sheet of crescent dough evenly into the pan.
  4. Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth.
  5. Spread filling evenly over the dough.
  6. Top with the second dough sheet and brush with egg wash.
  7. Bake until golden brown, then cool and drizzle with glaze.

Notes

  1. Let the danish cool before glazing so the topping sets properly.
  2. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to four days.
