Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 8 breakfast sausage links (pork, turkey, or plant-based)
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter, melted (for brushing)
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven – Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the Sausage – In a pan over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Let it cool slightly.
- Prepare the Dough – Open the crescent roll can and separate the dough into 8 triangles.
- Assemble the Rolls – Place a sausage link on the wide end of each triangle. Sprinkle with shredded cheese if using. Roll up tightly, starting from the wide end toward the tip.
- Brush & Season – Place rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder (if using).
- Bake – Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve & Enjoy – Enjoy warm with your favorite dips like honey mustard, ketchup, or salsa.
Notes
- Seal the Edges Well – To prevent the cheese or sausage from leaking out while baking, make sure to roll the crescent dough tightly and press the edges gently to seal them.
- Pre-Cook the Sausage – Even if the sausage will bake in the oven, pre-cooking ensures it’s fully done and gives it a better texture inside the roll.
- Use Parchment Paper – Lining your baking sheet with parchment paper prevents sticking and makes cleanup easier, especially if any cheese melts out during baking.
