- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 1 can refried beans
- 2–3 cups shredded taco cheese or cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 4 ounces sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a casserole dish.
- Brown ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet for 5–7 minutes; drain excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning and refried beans; heat through.
- Mix cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until smooth.
- Spread half of the creamy sauce in the baking dish.
- Layer torn tortillas, half of the meat mixture, and shredded cheese.
- Repeat layers and finish with cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 20–30 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Drain beef well to prevent excess grease.
- Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting.
- Customize with ground turkey or add black beans and bell peppers.
