Description

This one-pan Butter Parmesan Pasta is creamy, rich, and ready in just 20 minutes. Made with ditalini pasta, garlic, butter, cream, and parmesan, it’s a comforting dinner the whole family enjoys.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups dry ditalini pasta
  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, optional
  • Red pepper flakes, optional

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  2. Add ditalini pasta and stir to coat with garlic oil.
  3. Pour in chicken broth, season with salt and pepper, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 9 to 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and cook for 1 minute over low heat.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in butter and parmesan until melted.
  6. Adjust seasoning, garnish if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Use freshly grated parmesan for best texture.
  2. Add cooked chicken or shrimp at the end if desired.
  3. Reheat leftovers with a splash of broth or cream.
