Description

Crispy Cajun wings with a sweet and spicy brown sugar Cajun rub, finished with a tangy honey glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels
  2. Mix brown sugar, spices, and baking powder
  3. Coat wings evenly with olive oil and seasoning
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F
  5. Arrange wings on wire rack in single layer
  6. Bake for 40 minutes flipping halfway
  7. Prepare glaze by heating honey, hot sauce, butter, and vinegar
  8. Toss baked wings in glaze
  9. Return to oven for 10 to 15 minutes until sticky and caramelized

Notes

  1. Adjust cayenne pepper and hot sauce for spice level
  2. Do not overcrowd the pan
  3. Dry wings well for crispy skin
  4. Marinate wings up to 24 hours for more flavor
  5. Store leftovers in refrigerator and reheat in oven
