Description

Cute edible candy acorns made from mini vanilla wafers, chocolate kisses, and baking chips — the perfect fall snack or decoration.

Ingredients

Scale

11 ounces chocolate kisses any flavor

75 mini vanilla wafers

1 cup baking chips any flavor, divided

1 teaspoon coconut oil or cooking oil

Instructions

1. Unwrap chocolate kisses and set aside.

2. Sort whole wafers; set aside.

3. Melt half of baking chips with coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

4. Add melted chocolate to wafer flat side and attach chocolate kiss; set to cool.

5. Reheat chocolate if needed.

6. Add small dot of melted chocolate on opposite wafer side, attach un-melted baking chip stem.

7. Let cool and serve or store.

Notes

Use full-sized or mini baking chips for acorn stems.

Avoid excess melted chocolate or stems may slide.

Let each layer cool before assembling the next.
