Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the wet mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
  • Fold in sliced bananas gently.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • While still warm, drizzle caramel sauce generously over the cake. Let it soak in for extra gooeyness.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream!
