Description

Juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection—Carne Asada Tacos are a Mexican street food favorite that never disappoints! Tender marinated beef, fresh toppings, and warm tortillas make every bite an explosion of taste. Perfect for family dinners, BBQs, or taco nights!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lbs flank or skirt steak
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • ½ cup chopped white onion
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • Salsa of choice

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cilantro.
  • Place the steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 3 hours (overnight is best!).
  • Preheat the grill to high heat. Remove steak from the marinade and pat dry.
  • Grill the steak for 4-6 minutes per side until charred and cooked to medium-rare or medium.
  • Remove from grill, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
  • Warm tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds per side.
  • Assemble tacos by placing carne asada slices in each tortilla. Top with chopped onion, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
  • Serve with your favorite salsa and enjoy!
