- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 6 mozzarella sticks (or 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil, stirring to combine. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp towel and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size. - Shape the Breadsticks:
Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a 10×12-inch rectangle. Cut it into 6 strips. Place a mozzarella stick or shredded cheese along each strip’s center. Fold the dough over the cheese, pinching the edges to seal tightly. - Season and Bake:
Place the stuffed breadsticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown. - Serve Warm:
Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with marinara, ranch, or garlic butter for dipping!
