Description

Fresh cherry limeade made with honey, fresh lime juice, and sparkling club soda. This refreshing summer drink is refined sugar free and freezer friendly.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pitted fresh sweet cherries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup raw honey
  • 2 teaspoons lime zest
  • 1/3 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 30 ounces club soda
  • Fresh cherries for garnish
  • Lime slices for garnish
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  1. Add cherries and water to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat, mash cherries lightly, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Transfer cherries and juices to a blender.
  4. Add honey, lime zest, and lime juice.
  5. Blend until smooth.
  6. Strain if desired for a smoother syrup.
  7. Chill syrup completely before serving.
  8. Fill glasses with ice and add 2 ounces syrup per glass.
  9. Top with club soda and stir gently.
  10. Garnish with cherries and lime slices and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Store syrup in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  2. Freeze syrup for up to one month.
  3. Add more syrup for stronger cherry flavor.
  4. Use fresh lime juice for the brightest flavor.
