Description

A creamy, no-bake dessert that combines a buttery graham cracker crust, a smooth cream cheese filling, and a sweet cherry topping. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipped cream (or whipped topping)
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  • Prepare the crust: Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Mix until evenly moistened. Press the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish, forming an even layer. Chill in the fridge while preparing the filling.
  • Make the filling: Beat the cream cheese and sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth. Add vanilla extract and blend well. Gently fold in the whipped cream to create a light and fluffy mixture.
  • Layer the filling: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula. Return to the fridge and chill for at least 3 hours or overnight for best results.
  • Add the topping: Spread the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer, ensuring it covers the dessert evenly.
  • Final chill and serve: Chill for an additional hour before serving. Slice into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

  1. Chilling Time is Crucial: Ensure you allow the dessert to chill for at least 3-4 hours (or overnight) so the layers set properly. This ensures clean, firm slices when serving.
  2. Customizable Toppings: While cherry pie filling is traditional, you can easily swap it for blueberry, strawberry, or mixed berry pie filling to suit your preferences.
  3. Softened Cream Cheese: Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before mixing. This prevents lumps and ensures a smooth, creamy filling.
