Description

Chicken Parmesan Sliders made with crispy chicken tenders, marinara sauce, melted mozzarella, and garlic-buttered slider rolls baked until golden and cheesy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (26 oz) package crispy chicken tenders or chicken breast cutlets
  • 12 slider rolls
  • 4 Tbsp salted butter, melted
  • 3 medium garlic cloves, minced or 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning or oregano
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 12 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup thick marinara sauce, plus more for serving
  • 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 12 Tbsp chopped fresh Italian parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken according to package directions and allow to cool slightly.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 12×8-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Brush the bottom rolls with garlic butter and top with 6 slices of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Spread 1/2 cup marinara sauce over the cheese and arrange the chicken evenly on top.
  7. Drizzle with the remaining marinara sauce, sprinkle with 1 Tbsp Parmesan, and top with the remaining mozzarella slices.
  8. Place the top buns on, brush with remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle with reserved Parmesan.
  9. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  10. Uncover and bake an additional 3–5 minutes until lightly golden and the cheese is melted.
  11. Slice along the rolls and serve warm with extra marinara sauce.

Notes

  1. Use thick marinara sauce to avoid soggy sliders.
  2. Sliders can be assembled a few hours ahead and baked just before serving.
  3. Reheat leftovers in the oven for best texture.
