Description

For the Brownie Base:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup brewed coffee (strong)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt

For the Coffee Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp brewed coffee
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
2️⃣ In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
3️⃣ In another bowl, beat the sugar, melted butter, and eggs until smooth. Add vanilla extract and brewed coffee.
4️⃣ Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
5️⃣ Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool.
6️⃣ For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, melted butter, coffee, and vanilla until smooth.
7️⃣ Spread the glaze over cooled brownies, let set, then cut into squares.

Notes

1️⃣ Use Strong Coffee ☕ – The richer the coffee, the deeper the flavor! Use espresso or a strong brewed coffee to enhance the chocolate and give your brownies a bold coffee kick.

2️⃣ Don’t Overbake ⏳ – For fudgy brownies, bake just until the center is slightly set. A toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs, not completely clean.

3️⃣ Let the Brownies Cool Before Glazing ❄️ – If the brownies are too warm, the glaze will melt instead of setting properly. Let them cool completely for a perfect, smooth topping.
