The sweetened condensed milk adds a creamy texture and caramel-like flavor, making every bite extra fudgy and indulgent. Perfect for celebrations or an everyday dessert, these brownies are easy to make and endlessly customizable.
Ingredients
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅔ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
Optional mix-ins: ½ cup chopped nuts, extra chocolate chips, or dried fruit
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Melt Chocolate & Butter: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate together. Stir until smooth and let it cool slightly.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture.
Add Dry Ingredients: Gently fold in flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
Layer the Batter: Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle half the condensed milk over the top. Repeat with remaining batter and condensed milk. Swirl lightly with a knife.
Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool and Serve: Let cool completely before slicing for the best texture.
Notes
For an ultra-fudgy texture, slightly underbake and chill the brownies before cutting.
Use a plastic knife for cleaner cuts.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
Add peanut butter or salted caramel for more depth of flavor.
