Description

This homemade Tzatziki is a creamy, garlicky, and refreshing Greek yogurt dip that’s quick to make and incredibly versatile. With just seven ingredients, it delivers bold flavor and a cooling touch to grilled meats, vegetables, wraps, and more. Naturally gluten-free and vegetarian, it’s perfect for snacking or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 475 g (2 cups) plain Greek yogurt

  • 1/2 English cucumber (approx. 150 g)

  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) lemon juice

  • 15 g (1 tablespoon) fresh dill, chopped

  • 4 g (1 1/2 teaspoons) dried oregano

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.

  2. Grate using the large holes of a box grater onto paper towels.

  3. Squeeze out as much water as possible using a kitchen towel.

  4. In a medium bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, oregano, and garlic.

  5. Fold in the drained cucumber until fully combined.

  6. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with extra dill if desired.

  7. Chill for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh dill for the best flavor, or reduce the quantity if using dried.

Drain the cucumber thoroughly to avoid a watery dip.

Letting the dip rest in the fridge enhances flavor.

Add extra garlic for a bolder taste.
