Description

Cowboy Stir Fry is a hearty outdoor griddle meal made with ground beef, smoked sausage, potatoes, and fresh vegetables cooked together with bold seasoning.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb smoked sausage sliced
  • 2 cups diced potatoes parboiled
  • 1 cup bell peppers chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion diced
  • 1 cup zucchini sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese optional

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop all vegetables into bite-sized pieces
  2. Slice sausage and parboil potatoes for 5 minutes
  3. Heat griddle over medium-high heat and add oil or butter
  4. Cook ground beef until browned and move to one side
  5. Add sausage and cook until slightly crisp
  6. Add potatoes and cook until golden brown
  7. Mix everything together and add vegetables and garlic
  8. Sprinkle seasonings evenly and stir frequently
  9. Top with cheese if desired and serve hot

Notes

  1. Do not overcrowd the griddle to avoid steaming
  2. Parboil potatoes before cooking for best texture
  3. Use smoked sausage for deeper flavor
