Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 slices crispy bacon
- 4 burger buns (preferably brioche)
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing
- 1 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
- Lettuce, tomato, onion (optional toppings)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties: In a bowl, season ground beef with salt, pepper, and ranch seasoning mix. Gently form 4 evenly sized patties, pressing a small indent in the center of each.
- Cook Bacon: Fry bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
- Cook Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet or preheat your grill. Cook patties for about 4–5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. In the last minute, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and let it melt.
- Toast Buns: Lightly toast the burger buns in the skillet or on the grill.
- Assemble the Burger: Spread ranch dressing on the bottom bun, layer with lettuce, tomato, onion (if using), the cheesy beef patty, crispy bacon, and top bun.
- Serve: Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes like fries or onion rings.
Notes
1️⃣ Meat Quality Matters: Use an 80/20 ground beef blend (80% lean, 20% fat) for the juiciest and most flavorful patties. Avoid overworking the meat to keep the burgers tender.
2️⃣ Balance the Flavors: The magic of a Crack Burger comes from the ranch dressing, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar cheese. Ensure each ingredient is fresh and generously portioned for maximum flavor impact.
3️⃣ Don’t Skip Toasting the Buns: Lightly toast your burger buns before assembling. This prevents them from getting soggy and adds a subtle crunch that enhances the overall burger experience.
