Description

Creamy Herb Chicken with juicy pan-seared chicken breasts covered in a rich garlic herb cream sauce. Perfect for cozy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts between parchment paper and pound them to 1/2-inch thickness.
  2. Combine garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Season both sides of the chicken breasts evenly with the spice mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the chicken for about 5 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a plate.
  7. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and cook for 30 seconds.
  8. Stir in the fresh dill and parsley.
  9. Pour in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  10. Bring the sauce to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.
  11. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
  12. Cook for another minute until heated through.
  13. Garnish with extra herbs and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Use boneless skinless chicken thighs for a juicier option.
  2. Replace some cream with chicken broth for a lighter sauce.
  3. Add a cornstarch slurry for a thicker sauce.
  4. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  5. Freezing is not recommended because cream sauces may separate.
