Description
Tender pork chops smothered in a creamy, ranch-flavored sauce—this dish is the perfect balance of comfort and convenience. Easy to make and irresistibly delicious!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless or bone-in pork chops
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- Optional: 1 tsp garlic powder or onion powder
- Optional: Vegetables like carrots or potatoes, sliced
Instructions
- Prepare the pork chops: Trim excess fat and season both sides with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
- Mix the sauce: In a bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, sour cream, and broth. Stir until smooth.
- Assemble in the slow cooker: Layer pork chops at the bottom. Pour the sauce evenly over the pork. Add optional vegetables around the edges.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the pork is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Thicken the sauce (optional): During the last 30 minutes, stir in a cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water) for a thicker sauce.
- Serve: Stir the sauce gently, then plate the pork chops with sauce drizzled on top. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired.
Notes
- Choose the Right Pork Chops: Bone-in chops are juicier and more flavorful, while boneless chops cook faster and are easier to serve. Avoid thin cuts, as they may dry out during the slow cooking process.
- Layer Ingredients Strategically: Place the pork chops at the bottom of the slow cooker and pour the sauce evenly on top to ensure every piece absorbs the rich, creamy flavors. Add harder vegetables like potatoes and carrots around the edges for even cooking.
- Adjust Sauce Consistency: For a thicker sauce, stir in a cornstarch slurry during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Letting it simmer slightly on high will help achieve the perfect, creamy texture.
