These Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers are crispy, creamy, and bursting with bold flavor. Filled with a smoky bacon and cheddar cream cheese mixture and crisped in the air fryer, they make the perfect low-carb appetizer or game day snack—fast, fuss-free, and seriously addictive.
Ingredients
225g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1g (½ tsp) coarse black pepper
1g (½ tsp) garlic salt
3 tbsp sliced green onion (green parts only)
100g (1 cup) finely grated medium cheddar cheese
225g (½ lb) cooked and crumbled bacon
10–12 fresh jalapeños, halved and seeded
25g (¼ cup) breadcrumbs (optional)
Instructions
Mix cream cheese, black pepper, garlic salt, 2 tbsp green onion, cheddar, and half the bacon until smooth.
Wash and dry jalapeños. Slice in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, mounding slightly.
Arrange poppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Top with breadcrumbs (optional) and lightly spray with non-stick spray.
Air fry at 193°C (380°F) for 5–7 minutes, until tops are golden and bubbling.
Cool for 1–2 minutes in the basket.
Garnish with remaining green onions and bacon. Serve warm with optional ranch dip.
Notes
Skip breadcrumbs for a low-carb version.
Use gloves when handling jalapeños if sensitive to heat.
Make ahead: fill jalapeños and refrigerate, then air fry when needed.
Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the air fryer for crispiness.
Try different cheeses like pepper jack or Monterey Jack for variation.
