Description

A rich and silky chocolate fondue is the ultimate dessert experience, perfect for parties, date nights, or a simple indulgence. Dip fruits, cookies, or marshmallows into the warm, velvety chocolate for an irresistible treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate (or milk/white chocolate)
  • 120ml heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for extra smoothness)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or liqueur (Grand Marnier, Baileys, etc.)
  • Assorted fruits (strawberries, bananas, apples, etc.)
  • Marshmallows, cookies, or cake cubes for dipping

Instructions

  • Chop the Chocolate – Break the chocolate into small pieces for even melting.
  • Heat the Cream – In a small saucepan, warm the heavy cream over low heat until just simmering. Do not boil.
  • Melt the Chocolate – Add the chopped chocolate and butter to the cream, stirring constantly until smooth and fully melted.
  • Enhance the Flavor – Stir in vanilla extract or your choice of liqueur for added depth.
  • Serve Immediately – Pour the chocolate into a fondue pot or serving bowl. Keep warm over a low flame or candle.
  • Dip and Enjoy – Use skewers or forks to dip fruits, marshmallows, and cookies into the luscious chocolate.

Notes

1️⃣ Use High-Quality Chocolate – Always choose premium chocolate bars over chocolate chips, as they melt more smoothly and create a richer, silkier texture.

2️⃣ Avoid Overheating – Melt the chocolate gently over low heat or a double boiler. High heat can cause the chocolate to seize, making it grainy and unusable.

3️⃣ Keep It Warm – Fondue thickens as it cools. Use a fondue pot with a low flame or tea light to maintain the perfect dipping consistency. If it gets too thick, stir in a little warm cream.
