Easter Chocolate Bark is a playful and vibrant candy treat. Made by melting chocolate and layering it with fun toppings like candy-coated eggs, pretzels, and sprinkles, it’s easy to make and perfect for celebrating the season. This no-bake dessert is fun for kids to help decorate and great for gifting, parties, or snacking.
Ingredients
2 cups milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate (or a mix)
1 cup mini chocolate eggs or candy-coated chocolates
1/2 cup pretzels, broken into pieces
1/4 cup sprinkles (preferably pastel)
1/2 cup M&Ms or candy-coated chocolates (optional)
1/4 cup crushed cookies (like Oreos or shortbread, optional)
1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios, or peanuts) or allergy-friendly alternatives (like sunflower seeds or coconut)
1/4 teaspoon sea salt (optional, for a sweet-salty finish)
Parchment or wax paper for lining
A baking sheet
Instructions
Prepare the baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
Melt the chocolate:
Microwave: Place chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds, stir, then heat in 15-second bursts, stirring each time until smooth.
Double boiler: Fill a pot with a little water and bring to a simmer. Place a heat-safe bowl on top, add chocolate, and stir until melted.
Spread the chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate onto the lined baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread it evenly into a thin layer.
Add toppings: While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle on your toppings. You can mix and match as you like—mini chocolate eggs, pretzels, candy-coated chocolates, and crushed cookies.
Set the bark:
Refrigerate for 30-45 minutes or leave it at room temperature for 1-2 hours until firm.
Break into pieces: Once set, break the chocolate into random pieces.
Serve and enjoy: Serve your bark right away or store it for later.
Notes
If using white chocolate, add food coloring for a more festive look.
For a dairy-free version, use vegan chocolate and plant-based toppings.
Store the bark in an airtight container for up to two weeks at room temperature or three weeks in the fridge.
