Description

Eggnog French Toast Bake is an easy, make-ahead breakfast casserole with fluffy texture, warm spice, and a crunchy crumble topping.


Ingredients

1 large loaf (15oz-18oz) white bread, brioche or French bread

5 large eggs

1 3/4 cups eggnog

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons white sugar

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/3 cup butter, melted


Instructions

1. Grease a 9×13 inch or 3-quart casserole dish.

2. Cut bread into bite-sized squares and place inside.

3. Whisk eggs, eggnog, nutmeg, and vanilla.

4. Pour mixture over bread and stir gently.

5. Whisk flour, brown sugar, white sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

6. Stir in melted butter until sandy.

7. Scatter crumble topping over bread.

8. Bake at 350°F for 32–37 minutes.

9. Cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Warm individual portions in the microwave before serving.
