Easy to assemble and delicious, these sliders will quickly become your new favorite go-to appetizer. Ideal for game days, family gatherings, or just because!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pack of slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or dinner rolls)
- 1 lb of deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 6 slices of provolone cheese (Swiss cheese is another great option)
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup of butter, melted
- 1 cup of beef broth (for au jus dipping sauce)
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact as a single piece. Place the bottom half of the buns in a greased baking dish.
- Place a slice of provolone on each bun, then pile on your thinly sliced roast beef.
- Sauté the thinly sliced onions in a small pan with a little butter until they’re soft and caramelized. Spread the onions over the roast beef.
- Place another slice of provolone on top of the onions and beef, then add the top buns.
- Mix the melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Brush this mixture over the top of the buns for a golden, buttery finish.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 15 minutes. Then, uncover and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- While the sliders bake, heat up the beef broth with Worcestershire sauce and a pinch of garlic powder in a small pot to make your au jus dipping sauce.
- Serve each slider with a small bowl of au jus for dipping.
Notes
- These sliders can be prepared ahead of time. Assemble them and refrigerate overnight, then bake just before serving. You can also freeze them before baking and bake directly from frozen when needed.
- For extra flavor, add horseradish mayo, crispy fried onions, or even jalapeños to spice things up!
