Description

A comforting French onion chicken rice bake made with tender chicken, creamy rice, savory onion soup, and melted cheese for an easy family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can French onion soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
  • 1½ cups French fried onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish
  2. Combine rice, chicken, soups, sour cream, cheese, one cup fried onions, and seasonings in a large bowl
  3. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly
  4. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until bubbling around the edges
  5. Sprinkle remaining fried onions on top and bake for 5 more minutes
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot
