Description

A sweet Southern-style fruit salad made with peach pie filling, strawberries, pineapple, mandarin oranges, bananas, and peach gelatin.


Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz) can chunk pineapple, drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 (23 oz) package frozen sliced strawberries, thawed
  • 1 (21 oz) can peach pie filling
  • 23 bananas, sliced
  • 1 (3 oz) package peach gelatin dessert mix

Instructions

  1. Drain the pineapple and mandarin oranges thoroughly.
  2. Combine pineapple, oranges, strawberries, and peach pie filling in a large bowl.
  3. Stir until evenly mixed.
  4. Sprinkle the dry peach gelatin mix over the fruit mixture.
  5. Stir again until fully incorporated.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Fold in sliced bananas just before serving.
  8. Serve chilled.

Notes

  1. Apricot, strawberry, or strawberry-banana gelatin may be substituted for peach.
  2. Pineapple tidbits can replace pineapple chunks.
  3. Mixed berry pie filling can substitute for peach pie filling.
  4. Bananas may be omitted if desired.
