Description
Quick and easy garlic butter steak and green beans cooked in one pan for a fast, flavorful dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb flank steak, sliced against the grain
1 lb fresh stringless green beans, trimmed
3 tablespoons butter, divided
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Juice of 1/2 lemon + slices for garnish
Salt and cracked pepper
1/2 cup low-sodium beef stock
Crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
Marinade:
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon hot sauce
Fresh cracked pepper
Instructions
1. Combine steak with soy sauce, olive oil, pepper, and hot sauce. Marinate 10 minutes.
2. Microwave green beans with water for 8–10 minutes.
3. Melt butter and sear steak 1 minute per side; add garlic and chili flakes.
4. Remove steak. Melt remaining butter; add herbs, seasoning, green beans. Cook 4–5 minutes.
5. Deglaze with lemon, stock, and reserved marinade; reduce sauce.
6. Return steak to skillet and serve hot.
Notes
Adjust chili flakes to taste.
Use sirloin or skirt steak as substitutes.
Add tomatoes or mushrooms for variation.
