Description
Soft, buttery Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls made in 30 minutes with instant yeast, parmesan cheese, garlic, and parsley.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/4 cups warm water, 95-105 degrees F
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons instant yeast
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
- 1/4 cup shredded or grated parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons parsley
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a nonstick liner.
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Let the mixture proof for 2 to 5 minutes.
- Add oil, salt, egg, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms, adding a little more flour if needed.
- Divide the dough into 16 equal pieces and shape each piece into a roll.
- Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and let them rise in a warm place for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Brush the rolls with melted butter, then sprinkle with granulated garlic, parmesan cheese, and parsley.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until lightly golden.
- Brush with additional butter before serving.
Notes
- For softer rolls, knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes before shaping.
- Keep the proofing liquid between 95 and 105 degrees F for best yeast activity.
- Milk may replace water for a richer roll.
- A heaping tablespoon of fat-free Greek yogurt may replace the egg if needed.
