Description

Garlic Parmesan Sauce is a rich, creamy, and flavorful condiment that blends the bold taste of garlic with the nutty depth of Parmesan cheese. Rooted in Italian tradition, this versatile sauce elevates everything from pasta and chicken to vegetables and sandwiches. Simple to make yet luxuriously indulgent, it’s a beloved staple across global cuisines.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: chopped parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Sauté the Garlic: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Do not let it brown.

  • Add the Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and stir. Let it simmer gently for 3–5 minutes.

  • Incorporate the Cheese: Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.

  • Season: Add salt and pepper to taste. If using, stir in chopped herbs.

  • Serve: Use immediately over pasta, chicken, or vegetables, or store for later.

Notes

For a nuttier flavor, roast the garlic before adding.

To thin the sauce, add extra cream or a splash of milk.

Vegan version: use vegan butter, plant-based cream, and nutritional yeast or vegan Parmesan.

Freezing may change the texture—best used fresh or refrigerated for up to 1 week.
