Description

Juicy garlic steak bites cooked with crispy potatoes in a rich garlic butter sauce, all prepared in one skillet for a quick and satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • pounds baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 56 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add potatoes and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Cook potatoes for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and fork-tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Season steak cubes with salt, pepper, and dried Italian herbs.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter to the same skillet.
  5. Sear steak cubes in a single layer for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Cook in batches if needed.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low and add the remaining butter and minced garlic.
  7. Sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  8. Return potatoes to the skillet and toss everything together.
  9. Cook for 1–2 minutes until heated through.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  1. Use room-temperature steak so it cooks evenly.
  2. Pat the steak dry with paper towels before cooking for better browning.
  3. Avoid overcrowding the skillet; cook steak in batches if necessary.
  4. Add garlic and butter near the end to prevent burning.
  5. Cut potatoes into small pieces so they cook faster and become crispier.
