Description
This gingerbread oatmilk chai latte blends warm spices with creamy oat milk for a cozy holiday drink. A Starbucks-style copycat you can enjoy hot or iced at home.

- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons unsulphured molasses
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chai tea concentrate
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup oat milk
- Ice, optional
- Whipped cream or extra frothed oat milk, optional
Instructions
- Combine brown sugar, water, molasses, ginger, and cinnamon in a small saucepan over medium-low heat and whisk until smooth.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and cook while stirring for 5 to 8 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and allow the syrup to cool.
- Add 1 to 3 teaspoons of gingerbread syrup to a serving glass.
- For iced, add ice and pour in chai tea concentrate. For hot, warm the chai concentrate first.
- Add oat milk to taste and gently stir.
- Top with whipped cream or frothed oat milk and drizzle with extra syrup if desired.
Notes
- Store leftover gingerbread syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- Adjust the amount of syrup and oat milk based on preferred sweetness and creaminess.
- Use a vegan chai concentrate if avoiding honey.
