Description
Crispy grilled cheese roll ups made with soft bread, melted cheese, and butter. Perfect for dipping in tomato soup and ready in minutes.

- 8–10 slices soft white sandwich bread, crusts removed
- 8–10 slices cheddar, American, Monterey Jack, Colby Jack, or provolone cheese
- 4–5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder optional
- Pinch paprika optional
- Pinch dried Italian herbs optional
Instructions
- Remove crusts from bread slices
- Flatten each slice using a rolling pin until thin
- Place a slice of cheese along one edge of the bread
- Sprinkle optional seasonings over the cheese
- Roll the bread tightly into a cylinder
- Brush the roll with melted or softened butter
- Heat a skillet over medium low heat
- Place rolls seam side down in the skillet
- Cook and rotate until all sides are golden and crispy
- Serve immediately while cheese is melted
Notes
- Use soft fresh bread for easier rolling
- Do not overfill with cheese to prevent leakage
- Cook on medium low heat so cheese melts fully
- Serve immediately for best texture
